Acne Phone Accessory

Recently, I read an article about an incredible product called ScanZ. It is an accessory that plugs up to your phone, and you place the scanner end on any pimple. The device then sends different types of light wavelengths to the pimple and even beneath your skin. The app (specified for the device) then tells you how long before it goes away, how to make it go away faster, and if you're about to breakout. With continued use, it can also tell you about your skin health (with information about how you take care of your skin). I think this product is amazing! Considering all of the teens struggling with acne, this is a life saver. Acne can really lower your confidence, especially if it is a continuos ordeal. Most teens are very familiar with this concept. The science behind the product is genius and exciting. With this advance in treating acne, we don't have to guess about how to treat it and hope it works! I use proactive every night and morning and don't usually have breakouts (knock on wood!:). Though when i do, it would be great to have a product that will tell me everything I want to know! I also believe that this product could diffuse throughout the world rapidly with the right  advertisement.

I would love to hear what you think about the product! Do you want one now? What are some of your acne remedies? Click here to look at the article covering this device!

Summer Essentials for your Wardrobe Article Summary

A little while ago I read an article explaining what 5 essential pieces of clothing you needed for your summer wardrobe. Their idea of the 5 essentials were a kimono, open toed shoes, a crop top, a wrap around skirt, and something see-through. The opened toed shes are the basic need for any summer time outfit! Coming in many different styles they can go with every outfit. I personally do not like a few things on this list. For instance, I do not agree with the need for a crop top and a piece of see-through clothing. This is to revealing and does not need to be worn. There is no need for you to be showing your torso for a crop top or your bra with a see-through shirt! The style of girls these days is just becoming too inapropriate. Girls are being shown that the more skin you show the more attractive you look. This is so disgusting and so far off. Young ladies should not grow up with these ideas in their head and should just realize that guys do like you if you have a decent amount of clothes on! This is why i do like some of the other pieces of clothing they listed; for example, the kimono and wrap around skirt are very stylish and still somewhat conservative. They have sort of boho feel to them when paired with the right accessories. That is why ACCESSORIES ARE KEY!! They can make or break your outfit. That is why these essentials are just the basics that can change styles depending on the choice of accessories.

Everyday Makeup Routine Article Response

I recently read an article about an everyday makeup routine that teenage girls can use on  daily basis.  The article basically told you 7 steps that when putting on your makeup in the morning. I think that this article was very informative and helpful. Especially for a teen girl who needs a few tips and wants a pretty natural look that can do everyday. They also gave tips on how to complete this steps which I thought was very helpful. I do wish that they could have maybe given some references to places that carry the products needed for this routine. However, this will very depending on where you live; so, I understand why they didn't do it. Another thing I enjoyed was how they gave reasoning for why you shouldn't do this or why you should do that. For example, they said "always wash your face and hands before putting on makeup to avoid build up of bacteria which will lead to acne". I did find this very helpful from a science perspective. My makeup routine in the morning is different from this one, but still pretty basic. I usually start by applying concealer to underneath my eyes and any pimples. Next, I apply eyeshadow primer and a gold shimmery eyeshadow all over my eyelid. Then, I curl my eyelashes with an eyelash curler. Finally, I put a couple layers of mascara on my eyelashes and viola! I am all done and it only took around 5 minutes! Both the makeup routine in the article and my makeup routine allow you to look mature but still natural and age appropriate. This is very important as a teenager even though some magazines and commercials suggest otherwise.
Tell me what you think about this discussion! What do you think about this makeup routine? Do you think it makes teenage girls look older than they are supposed to? Click here to look at the article discussed in this blog.
